Provenance of these images

Unfortunately, backups of most of the RISC User covers have not been retained. Where they exist, though, they have been used to generate the images linked above for maximum image quality; in other cases, printed copies of the magazine have been scanned. The situation for the various covers is as follows:

RISC User 7:7 to 9:5
These covers still exist in QuarkXPress format (and are present on this CD in the Mac backup archives), so the tiles are based on screenshots
RISC User 9:6 to 11:3
As these covers no longer exist in electronic format, they have been scanned in; unfortunately a certain amount of image show-through and other physical blemishes degrade the quality of these covers somewhat
RISC User 11:4
The backup file for this cover no longer exists, but by chance a screenshot of the cover was taken and retained; the tile is therefore based on that screenshot
RISC User 11:5 to 12:10 and the two unused covers
These covers still exist in Ovation Pro format (and are present on this CD in the Magazines section), so the tiles are based on screenshots
Acorn Action-related cover images
The basic artwork for these covers is backed up in a number of different Mac files, whilst the covers themselves exist in the form of scans used in other advertising material
